3.1 Configuring Dialectic Phone Plugin
Requirements:- Dialectic
- Dialectic must be installed and working with your telephony system
- Dialectic should display incoming calls with the caller's phone number
For currently supported FoneConnector features please check the appropriate tab:

3.1.1. Add the Dialectic Phone Plugin in FoneConnector -> Preferences -> Phones

3.1.2. Give it a name (optional)

3.1.3. Create a folder (name it as you like) somewhere on your Mac.
Click and drag the Script-icon into this folder.
This saves an AppleScript called »Notify FoneConnector.scpt« into this folder.

3.1.4. Open Dialectic Preferences -> Miscellaneous
The option »Allow External AppleScript Access ...« must be enabled:

Should you forget to enable this option then Dialectic will prompt you later with this dialog. Click Allow.

3.1.5. Configure Dialectic Notifications
In a first step configure Dialectic Notifications (in Dialectic Preferences) like in the screen below and click on »Launch Application or AppleScript«

3.1.6. Select the »Notify FoneConnector.scpt« from the folder you created in step 3.1.3

The result should look like this:

3.1.7. Now call the phone that is already monitored by Dialectic
(E.g. a mobile phone via Bluetooth - maybe you will have to Enable Call Detection in the Dialectic window above, please refer to Dialectic's documentation and set up the options like they were before)
If everything is set up correctly Dialectic should trigger the FoneConnector AppleScript above, which in turns triggers FoneConnector in Daylite with the caller's phone number, performs a lookup in the Daylite database and opens a Call Window in Daylite.

3.1.8. Extra incoming Call Monitors for Dialectic
Dialectic offers some extra incoming call monitors on this page: http://www.jonn8.com/dialectic/resources/

Please refer to the documentation of each incoming call monitor application on how to set it up and activate it.
At the end it works like this:
Incoming Call to device -> Incoming Call Monitor -> Dialectic -> FoneConnector
Here's an example for the FRITZ!Box incoming call monitor (if you own such a box, which is very popular in Germany): It was simply downloaded from the Dialectic website, installed and launched with the standard options. Don't forget to click on the Start button. The configuration of Dialectic itself (or FoneConnector) above is not altered.

When the FRITZ!Box receives a call, the FRITZ!Box incoming call monitor notices it, triggers Dialectic, which triggers FoneConnector, which in turn opens a Call window in Daylite.
