3.5 Configuring SkypeIn Phone Plugin
Requirements:- At least Skype version 2.8 must be installed
- A real telephone number from SkypeIn - they call it »online number«. A simple free Skype account (Skype username) won't work, as you need a real phone number for FoneConnector where people are calling to.
- Your SkypeIn online number must be configured and working with your Skype installation (regardless of FoneConnector).
- Skype should display incoming calls with the caller's phone number.
- Configure Skype as a startup item to launch when you start your Mac. Calls are working only, when Skype is running so the FoneConnector Skype Plugin can react to them.
For currently supported FoneConnector features please check the appropriate tab:

3.5.1. Quit Skype if it is running
3.5.2. Add the Skype Phone Plugin in FoneConnector -> Preferences -> Phones
The Skype Phone Plugin does not need any special configuration by itself, nor needs Skype.

3.5.3. Skype not running
If Skype is not running, you will be notified by the Skype Phone Plugin's status message.

3.5.4. Start Skype and enable access from Daylite
Now start Skype and log in to your account with the SkypeIn online number. Skype will prompt you with the following dialog. Please select the option shown to allow Daylite (and FoneConnector) direct access to the Skype application.

3.5.5. Skype is ready
If everything went well, the Skype Phone Plugin's status message should change to »Ready«. Now you can call your SkypeIn online number and FoneConnector should open a Call Window.

3.5.6. Skype Phone Plugin supports all features
Please note that the Skype Phone Plugin supports all currently available FoneConnector features:

When your Skype phone rings you can accept the call directly through FoneConnector ...

... and end the call (hang up) through FoneConnector. When you hang up through Skype itself FoneConnector will notice this too.
