Daylite Forms Exporter - free your forms data!
Version 1 .1 UPDATE available, Dec. 15., 2010:
Forms Exporter now exports forms data from Projects and Opportunities too (by popular request). Small interface-related bug fixes. Download here »
Did you know? Although you can store structured information in forms in Daylite - it's not possible to export the forms data. The forms data is stuck in Daylite and there’s no way out (except for programmers).

With our Forms Exporter plugin it's finally possible for every Daylite user to extract all that valuable information. Let it be for Excel, Numbers, FileMaker databases etc. for analyzing and importing forms data in other applications or any means of post processing.
System requirements: Intel-Mac (PPC-Macs not supported) with Mac OS X,
10.5 or 10.6 (tested with 10.5.8 and 10.6.4), Daylite 3.10 or newer Daylite 3.x.

Examples for usage:
- In sales and marketing: Use forms to store custom, client-related information for contacts and organizations. Then extract and analyze the data for marketing purposes, like for mailings.
- In telemarketing: Call Centers can use Daylite to manage complete jobs for their clients, qualifying thousands of contacts by phone (and FoneConnector), adding individually structured client data in forms, attaching them to contacts or orgs and finally exporting all that forms data along with the appropriate contact/org data for handing out to their clients.
- In education: Store personal qualification and exam data in forms for students, export that data and generate printed certificates.
- In legal / law: Store structured data for legal cases in forms, export an analyze the data or import that structured data into other software for the legal industry.
- In IT-management: IT-consultants can store license information in forms and perform exports to get a quick overview - e.g. for checking the status of expiring software licences every month.
And many, many more scenarios ...

4. Finally, import the exported forms data into another application
If you import the data into Excel, then choose Windows ANSI from the encoding/origin pulldown of the text import dialog. Or use any other application that can import text-based data and experiment with the export- and import-settings to find out what works best for you.
